Nathan Auman

Student - NCSU

Nathan is a student at NC State University, majoring in Engineering with aspirations of earning a commission in the military as a pilot. He graduated from Union Pines High School in Cameron, NC, where he was deeply involved in extracurricular activities and leadership roles. Nathan was a member of the National Honor Society, Leo Club, Student2Student, and Student Government, and served as Editor-in-Chief of the school yearbook. He also held the position of Commanding Officer in the Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC), where he actively participated in all teams, including Drill, CyberPatriot, Academic, Color Guard, Orienteering, and Marksmanship.

Passionate about mental health advocacy, Nathan founded a support group at his high school to provide a safe, confidential space for students struggling with mental health challenges who may not yet feel comfortable talking to adults.

Outside of academics and leadership, Nathan is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys hunting, camping, fishing, flying, and playing sports. Nathan has earned his FAA Private Pilot License and FAA Part 107 Remote sUAS (Drone) Pilot License, further fueling his passion for aviation.
