Sarah Peterson

Alexander Family YMCA

Sarah Peterson is the Associate Branch Director at the Alexander Family YMCA, where she oversees a variety of youth programs, including school-based initiatives, summer day camps, drop-in childcare, and community educational support services. Sarah has been with the YMCA since graduating from NC State in 2009.

A Raleigh native, Sarah studied Religious Studies at NC State. She now lives in Raleigh with her husband and two elementary-aged children, all of whom can be found cheering on the NC State Wolfpack during football season. This spring, Sarah and her family will be welcoming a golden retriever puppy into their home!

Sarah joined the HSCSC board in 2022 and has enjoyed learning more about how the Hillsborough Street community is collaborating to help the area thrive.
