Clay Rightmyer

Economic Development & Planning Manager

Clay Rightmyer joined the Hillsborough Street staff in 2017 as the Operations and Communication Assistant and has moved through the company serving as the Director of Organizational Operations and most recently stepped into the role of Economic Development & Planning Manager.

In his new role Clay assists businesses and developers in finding property within the district to fit their needs and shares market information and economic data about the corridor. Clay works with active rezonings & development projects in coordination with community partners and the City Raleigh to achieve the best possible outcome for the area.

In addition to his work with HSCSC, Clay manages the economic development operations for the Blue Ridge Corridor Alliance.

Clay, originally from Littleton, NC, is a 2014 graduate of NC State University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication with a Public Relations concentration. During his time as a student he was an events and communication intern with HSCSC.
