Katrina Gomez
Events & Engagement Specialist
Katrina Gomez joined the Hillsborough Street team in August 2022 as an intern through Miss Mindy’s Nonprofit Leadership and Development Course at North Carolina State University. Following her graduation in December 2022, she continued her role as a Minority & Women-Owned Business Research Assistant until May 2023, at which point she transitioned to a part-time position as an Engagement Associate. In September 2023, Katrina advanced to a full-time role as the Events and Engagement Specialist.
In her current capacity, Katrina is responsible for organizing and managing various events, including Hillsborough Street’s Annual Trick or Treat. She actively fosters merchant and community engagement through collaborative initiatives with NC State University and local businesses. Additionally, she oversees key organizational programs such as the Hillsborough Street Dollars Program, Street Banners, and Merchant Engagement initiatives.
Originally from Charlotte, NC, Katrina relocated to Raleigh in August 2021 to pursue her Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies at NC State University.
In her spare time, Katrina enjoys spending time with friends, exploring Raleigh, and, as a self-proclaimed foodie, visiting new restaurants in the area.
