Luke Buchanan painted the mural recreating the "Royal Crown Cola" sign on the Nehi Bottling Company building. The Nehi Bottling Company was purchased by James A. Goodnight who planned to renovate the building and turn it into an office building.
The building was originally designed by architect William Henley Deitrick with purposeful design for function over style. who designed it in an international style in 1937. The building no longer housing the Nehi Bottling Company is now a Raleigh Historical Landmark.
