In a partnership with Artsplosure and Needlepoint.com, the Prismatic Oasis mural was commissioned in the Spring of 2023 with completion in the summer. The mural was officially unveiled on Aug. 14, 2023.
The mural incorporates a colorful palette, flora & fauna and various embroidery traditions from around the world. It also features a wolf as a nod to NC State University and "wings" in a nod to Meredith College.
Adriana Ameigh, the artist, is a Puerto Rican abstract painter, sculptor, and muralist based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
