Tasty Tuesday - Global Village

Throughout my time as an undergrad, Global Village has been on my list of hangout and work spots. Whether I wanted to catch up with an old friend over a cup of coffee or I had a midterm to cram for, I knew that Global Village would be the perfect place. I’ve never had a bad pastry or cup of coffee!

During my visit, I ordered a chicken salad panini and an iced blackberry white mocha. The panini was served on pita bread and was toasted in a panini press until it had beautiful grill marks and was nice and warm. The iced coffee was delicious - it’s one of their summer specials and trust me when I say you don’t want to miss your opportunity to try this creation! I usually don’t like white mochas because they tend to be super sweet, but the tartness of the blackberries balanced the sweetness and created a really well balanced flavor. Say hello to summer!

The staff was very friendly! My coffee was prepared quickly and I got to sit back and relax a bit while my panini was being toasted. When it was ready, it was brought out to my table. The cafe was bustling with everyone from college students with their laptops to business professionals to friends catching up over a cup of coffee. Despite the number of people coming in and out of the door, it never felt too crowded because of the amount of seating options and the layout of the coffee shop. I highly recommend Global Village for anyone looking for somewhere to step in from the summer heat and take some time to enjoy the little things in life, like coffee!
