Tasty Tuesday - Harvest Grille
During my visit to Harvest Grille and Bistro, the staff of both the restaurant and the hotel were very helpful and friendly. My waitress, and supervisor of the Harvest Grille & Bistro, Erica, made sure that I enjoyed my meal and my time at lunch. Everyone made sure that I felt welcomed! This was my first time stepping into the hotel and the restaurant. The hotel itself was clean and modern and given the proximity to both NC State and Meredith, it’s a great place for out-of-town visitors to stay!
The menu had many different options ranging from soups and salads, to flatbreads, to burgers. There were definitely a few options that caught my eye. For lunch, I decided to go with
the Pinehurst Asian Chicken Salad. The cabbage was fresh and crispy, mixed in with juicy chicken breast, macadamia nuts, scallions, mandarin oranges and grape tomatoes. The balance between the oniony taste of scallions and the citrus flavor of the mandarin oranges worked beautifully together. It was topped with crispy fried wontons, which provided a much needed crunchy element to the salad. I will definitely be going back to try some more of their lunch items, especially the buffalo chicken wrap, which looked delicious!
I’m happy that I had the opportunity to try this restaurant! I’m sure a lot of locals are like me and didn’t realize that there was a restaurant inside The DoubleTree on Hillsborough Street, but I hope that more and more people will begin to discover this place as I did. I promise it’s worth your time!
