Tasty Tuesday: Raleigh French Bakery

Raleigh French Bakery is a small local bakery that serves many delightful treats. It is located a little further away from campus, but I guarantee you that it is worth the walk! The bakery gives off a homey vibe, nothing too fancy or overwhelming, and it is definitely somewhere you could drop by quickly to grab a sweet treat.

As soon as you walk in, you will be greeted with a variety of pastries and artisan bread, including almond cookies, chocolate thumbprints, croissants and baklava (a signature Greek dessert). The pastries are made fresh in small batches throughout the day, so you won't have to worry about getting a stale piece of bread ever.

Of course, Raleigh French Bakery also offers amazingly moist and fluffy cakes with many flavors like tiramisu, chocolate strawberry, blueberry and Oreo. They also offer inexpensive wedding cakes and whole cakes for special occasions. However, you do have to order ahead so they can make it fresh for your event. 

I decided to go with a chocolate strawberry cake and it did not disappoint. It was so moist and delicious, and I could taste the fresh strawberry glaze on top. It did not take me long to finish this piece of cake, and I will have to come back for more. And, in addition to being so tasty, their treats are very inexpensive!
