Tuesday, June 18
Grab tickets to see the preliminary rounds of North Carolina’s Funniest Person Competition at Goodnights Comedy Club during the month of June. You can check out the lineup for Tuesday night here. Comedians are all NC residents and will perform 4.5-6 minutes of original material for this round. Join in on this 18+ show and help decide the winner of this intense competition.
Every Tuesday night this summer, The Green Monkey hosts Bingo! Bingo! Bingo! a night of fun competition and prizes!
Wednesday, June 19
Get out of the heat this Wednesday night and enjoy the weekly Ridiculously Low-Priced Beer special all day at The Green Monkey or get your team together for pizza, liquor specials & Trivia Night at Brickhouse Sports Bar & Grille. You can also catch the next preliminary round of North Carolina’s Funniest Person Competition at Goodnights Comedy Club. The randomly selected line up for Wednesday night can be found here. Come join in on the laughter and help decide which comedians will move on to compete for the $1,200 prize!
Thursday, June 20
The fun continues this Thursday night on Hillsborough Street! Enjoy a night of laughs from some of the best stand-up performances in North Carolina at the preliminary round of North Carolina’s Funniest Person Competition at Goodnights Comedy Club. This 18+ show has some hilarious talent lined-up (here) and the audience will get to decide who moves on to the semi-finals round!
Also happening this Thursday night ComedyWorx hosts an Improv Mixer open to groups of all experience levels from any theatre who want to perform. Get your group signed up to perform or come out and enjoy an evening of “M” rated entertainment. Hire your sitters now so that you don’t miss out on this evening of fun!
As always, you can enjoy the weekly Ridiculously Low-Priced Wine special all day at The Green Monkey or drinks & prizes during Redline Bingo at Redline Beer & Wine every Thursday this summer!
Friday, June 21
David Bowie super fans and casual listeners unite for a fun night of live music as Stardust to Ashes pay tribute to Bowie at Citybar Raleigh. Come hear some of Bowie’s classic hits, fan favorites and even a few surprises in a truly outstanding tribute show that is literally the “next best thing to the real thing.”
The Plastic Cup Boys weekend of performances at Goodnights Comedy Club kicks-off this Friday night. Make plans to come out and enjoy this must-see show that has taken the comedy world by storm!
Theatre in the Park puts on its production, Of Good Stock by Melissa Ross, all weekend long. Telling the story of three sisters and their family baggage during a summer on the Cape Cod beach front. This is the closing weekend for this production, don’t miss out on these final shows!
Finally, some of our favorite events and specials that happen every Friday on Hillsborough Street. Enjoy Friday drink specials and Karaoke with DJ Stevie B. at Brickhouse Sports Bar & Grille and join ComedyWorx at 10pm for The Harry Show, a late-night improv party based on audience suggestions and participation.
Saturday, June 22
Join us on Hillsborough Street this Saturday for an evening of relaxing indie-acoustic music at The Irregardless Café. World-traveler, Beppe Gambetta stops in Raleigh this weekend to perform his music inspired by some of the great American acoustic guitar masters. Bring your family and enjoy a farm-to-table meal with a fantastic live music experience.
Get your laughs in this weekend with ComedyWorx at their family-friendly ComedyWorx Show at 8pm or their “M” rated show, The Breakdown at 10pm. ComedyWorx has something for everyone this Saturday night!
Only two more nights left to catch a performance of the heartfelt, family comedy Of Good Stock by Melissa Ross, at Theatre in the Park. Grab tickets to the second night of shows for The Plastic Cup Boys at Goodnights Comedy Club. This hilariously outstanding act has taken the comedy world by storm opening for Kevin Hart and releasing their own special on Comedy Central in 2015. Pullen Park is hosting its Annual Summer Concert Series as a FREE event this summer on Hillsborough Street. This weekend you can enjoy an evening with friends enjoying compilations by the Raleigh Concert Band at Pullen Park. This group brings together talented wind-musicians from the Raleigh area for community performances and educational outreach.
Finally, it is the closing weekend for Of Good Stock by Melissa Ross, at Theatre in the Park. Get your tickets now and don’t miss out on a sure-to-be fantastic, finale performance on Sunday night.
